Hi and welcome to my Blog….Honest Answers on Aging. My name is Ann Beasley. I have 30 years experience in Senior Care. My background has been as Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Administrator. As well as home care and hospice experience.
I'm here to answer questions about senior-related caregiving issues, legal/financial issues, level of care, when do you need nursing home vs assisted living, what really happens in a nursing home. If you struggle with what’s next, deciding on what type of care level you need, how to deal with where your loved one is currently, or maybe you aren’t happy with the current situation, this blog will help to answer those questions.
My goal and reason for creating this blog is to help people. I want to get information out to families to help them know what to do next and mainly that you aren’t alone. You will hear my own story with my Mama and my brothers as we experienced first-hand having to make decisions. I chose the blog name because I want to help answer your questions honestly! Even if it is not what you want to hear. You will get real talk.
I have experts in financial planning, eldercare attorneys, downsizing, real estate, probate, just to mention a few. Medicare gurus, that can help answers questions about the best Medicare coverage for you or your loved one. There is a lot of information out there can get very confusing. I’ll talk about Senior Safety and scams from a law enforcement officer’s experience.
I will also have some great stories about my time in senior living. If you work in the industry, you know need a good sense of humor! Some of the things said to you by residents and families will just amaze you! Not all of it funny, but there are a lot of great times even if it leaves you shaking your head.

Ann Beasley
As a Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrator for 25 years and a total of 30 years in healthcare, working with home health, private sitters, and hospice care, I have found that most people don’t understand how to navigate through senior living choices. I have also worked with Behavioral Units, Dementia and Memory Care Units over the years, and I have worked with a lot of families to help them find the best level of care for their loved one. However, if you really want to know about me, you should know I'm a a senior myself. I too am learning to navigate this new journey called aging. I've stumbled, laughed and cried along the way. My passion is helping people to find the best outcome for them and their loved one. Most importantly please know that you are not alone on this journey.
